Jemie Sae Koo has managed press relations and planned events, both small and large in scale, for nearly a decade.  Her professionally diverse background in the corporate, community, and political arenas has greatly contributed to her success with designing creative and contemporary events that embody the sophistication of her clientele.  Her repertoire includes high-end political functions such as the 2005 Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C., political campaigns and fundraisers, corporate and community galas, private lifestyle events, and weddings.

Jemie has always had a passion for service, both in the private sector with clients and in the public sector with constituents.  Her expertise is in public relations and event management, having served most recently as a Media Relations and Community Relations Representative for a municipal government entity.  As a Representative, Jemie was responsible for directing and managing all strategic communications efforts for the district, including website content, event materials, special publications, press releases, and newsletters.  She was also responsible for managing and executing events designed to engage the community and stakeholders on the district’s policy and constituent work.

Most importantly, Jemie served as a government advisor on key and complex issues affecting the residents of the district and ensuring that the concerns of constituents, stakeholders, and public agencies were addressed. This position with the government was a culmination of Jemie’s extensive work background in community organizing, outreach, and relationship building through her work with former Congresswoman Hilda Solis (currently Secretary of Labor Solis under the Obama Administration) as a Congressional District Representative, United Way of the River Cities as a Special Event and Community Program Coordinator, Alliance for a Better California as the Director of Recruitment and Event Organizer, and the University of California Irvine’s Outreach Partnership Center as a Event and Program Manger.  For a full comprehensive list of Jemie’s professional accomplishments, please visit here.

As a career woman who has moved in many different social circles, Jemie understands the need for that balance between personal expression and chic professionalism.  Through her three-year apprenticeship under the  most-sought after celebrity wedding planner, Kimberly Bradford, Jemie has been able to fine-tune her creative design skills and flawless event management talent. She credits much of her success in event production to Ms. Bradford, whose work has been featured on “Platinum Weddings” and “Whose Wedding Is It Anyway“. Finally, Jemie finds that events are an extension of the client and can be a creative statement of who they are, which is why she finds event-work and public relations such a satisfying and fulfilling profession.

When Jemie is not busy attending to her passion of helping people plan the perfect event or giving back to the community as a board member for various nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles, including the YMCA, Children’s Today (a children’s homeless shelter), Asian Pacific Legislative Staff Network (APALS), and Asian Professional Exchange (APEX), she spends her time being a great friend and loving wife.
